Found the right part for an old dryer
The part was not the problem. It was an easy solution to replace the door switch actuator that broke off. What I am happy about is to find a part for a 20 year old Kenmore dryer. This is a good source.

Simple fix for a 41 year old dryer
This is the exact replacement part for the door actuator switch. The part took less than 10 minutes to install with only two screws holding it in place. How many dryers today can be repaired with a $5.00 part?
