This replacement assembly comes with the top and bottom wash baskets, the drive hub and 8 x 1-inch screws with size-16 threads. Making the repair requires disassembling the washer. Begin the disassembly by using a stiff putty knife to press in on the 2 locking tabs that hold the top panel onto the washer cabinet and lift the panel up. The tabs are approximately 6-1/2 inches in from the panel's edge. Pull the recirculation hose off the wash tub ring, then unsnap the tub ring tabs so you can remove the ring. Take off the impeller cap by inserting the tip of a flathead screwdriver into the slot of the cap and prying up. Remove the 7/16-inch bolt from the impeller and lift the impeller from the wash basket. Lifting out the basket before removing the impeller may make doing this part of the disassembly easier. Once the basket is out, remove the filter cover and clean any coins out of the sump and pump area before reinstalling the basket.
