Works perfectly
Quite a bit of disassembly required to replace gearbox, but not too difficult. Need to remove splined input shaft from the sheave. Can be a little tight. Remove mounting screws from the housing and remove screws from the bearing housings, slide it out as a unit. Remove output shaft, and voila'. Reassemble.

Just a bunch of work, not as bad as it might look
Disassembling to replace the gearbox looks like a daunting task at first. It's just a multi-step process that isn't all that complex. Loctite on the drive pulley bolt caught me by surprise, but makes perfect sense. Plan on using new shear bolts.

Install was easy
The hard part about the snowblower gear assembly is disassembling the auger set. Once everything was disassembled and cleaned, the whole thing went together easily, new gear assembly included.Times and ratings below are strictly for assembly. Disassembly was hours of heating, driving, lubricating, etc. Expect things like the spacers to be stuck.

Not the same part
Not sure if my snowblower unit is an older model but the part I received was different than the original. There is a 1/2 height difference between the two perpendicular shafts. Will see if I can drill new holes on the cowling sides to see if I can make it work...

Cheaply made knock off that fell Apart
This Agri-Fab brand is made of very lousy materials which fell apart after only 2 seasons
