Wrong part received two (2) times. No return label
Unable to make repair-wrong parts. My first request for this part ( Lawn Motor-mod 917.378170, Key # 3, Pt # 851667, Remote Throttle Control) Met with being told part was available and would be sent @ approx. cost of $70.00. Part received was Key # 3, part #480029, Control Head Kit. (Pages 17 & 19 Parts book). A second conversation resulted in another shipment of the wrong part (851667) sent, again @ a reduced cost of appx. $55.00, but, again, no return label. I an waiting for the return label to be sent, but my credit card has been charged for both, and I paid it hoping Sears will make it right and get it right. I think all the pictures you need are in the repair parts book which your representatives seems to refer to during conversations. The in correct items I received are, at least, one foot longer than needed and one end is not the correct end I need. I MAY be able to make shift something. I don't know, and will not attempt to fix until worn part breaks or I can get the correct part. Remember I have been told twice that the part I need is available. P.S. I have been a Sears customer in excess of 56 yrs. My household is filled with Kenmore products. My garage fill with Craftsman machines (snowblower-lawn mower. etc) and MANY other purchases made at Sears.

Not a replacement part
The website stated this was a replacement but it wasn't. It was longer and the connection end didn't fit properly so I had to change the installation to make it work. Do to the longer length I now have a extra loop in the cable.

29 year old mower back to new
This was first time replacing cable. It broke a few years back was stuck in drive. Son in law took apart transmission cleaned and put back together and attached drive cable. Works luke new again. Not bad for a 29 year old craftsman mower.

Craftman Lawn mower drive control cable
only issue is that it should come with the clip that attaches it to the self-propell framework. That piece was badly rusted on mine, but I manage to salvage it.
