NEVER pull backward w/o first disengaging drive!
User manual should have prominent warning to NEVER engage drive while pulling mower backward. Disengage drive and raise front wheels when pulling backwards. Steel drive gears wear off plastic wheel cogs. Should have been a recall and apology by manufacturer. Rear wheel hubs crack. Should have steel tube inserts as front wheels do.

Replacing the front wheels on my lawn mower
Its such a shame that I couldn't purchase this part from a store. The only negative is that the grooves on the plastic wheel wears out too soon. they need to up with a harder material.
