Gearbox 69209 connects the lawn tractor s movement to the spreader impeller, allowing for even distribution of seed, fertilizer, or other lawn materials. If your spreader isn t dispensing evenly or the impeller isn t rotating properly, replacing the gearbox can restore reliable performance.
Before installation, disconnect the spreader and wear work gloves to protect your hands. Use a screwdriver and wrench to remove the old gearbox and fasten the new one in place. Check all mounting points and connections to ensure everything is properly aligned and secure.

Good fit. Good price.
I used this to rebuild my broadcast spreader that had a broken differential. This product was a perfect fit, turned very smoothly and was not very expensive. Shipping was very timely. I installed the part in about 30 minutes. If I order again, I will also order the wheel retainers for the axel, as these broke during disassembly.

modifications needed
this item did not fit my spreader.The shaft was 2 inches short and the part for the axle to go through was not big enough so I had to drill it out to slide over the axle.As I said the shaft was too short and I had to extend it 2 inches..

Not a direct fit
Part was listed as a replacement for the original part that is no longer available. It's not! The bore the axle slides through was too small and had to be drilled out and the shift that extends in to the hopper was 3/4" too short requiring it to be lengthened.
