How to load a trash compactor


Throwing trash away seems like the simplest thing in the world to do, but if you have a trash compactor you could be loading it completely wrong. To prevent problems like jamming or horrible odors from the compactor follow these simple tips.
Only use bags designed for trash compactors.
Load large, bulky items in the center of the container.
Place cans and bottles on their sides in the center of the container.
Wrap wet or messy trash before placing it into the compactor.
Do not place items such as raw meat, fish, diapers or personal hygiene products in the compactor.
When loading trash, don't pack down with your hands or feet.
