Front wheel alignment on American SportsWorks go karts

Front wheels should be aligned with toe-in of ¼-inch to ½-inch. To make adjustments:

• Loose the lock nuts on both sides of the front tie rods.
• Ensure the steering wheel is centered.
• Equally rotate the tie rods in or out using a wrench to achieve the proper toe-in alignment.
• Tighten the lock nuts against the tire rods.
Recheck the alignment after tightening the lock nuts.

• Ensure that the go kart is on a flat surface and the engine is off and cool.
• Apply the parking brake.
• Wear work gloves to protect your hands.
• Remove the belt cover mounting bolts and pull off the belt cover.
• Remove the drive pulley mounting bolt and pull the drive pulley off the engine crankshaft.
• Remove the old belt and install the new belt around the driven pulley.
• Install the belt on the drive pulley and reinstall the drive pulley and mounting bolt.
• Reinstall the belt cover.
