How to replace the power switch on a Kero Sun space heater

  • Unplug the heater's power cord from the electrical wall outlet to disconnect electrical power. Wear work gloves to protect your hands during the repair.
  • Remove the power switch mounting screws and pull the power switch out slightly.
  • Disconnect the power switch wire harness and remove the power switch.
  • Connect the power switch wire harness to the new power switch.
  • Reinstall the power switch and secure it with its mounting screws.
  • Plug the heater's power cord back into the wall outlet to restore electrical power.

How to replace the temperature control thermostat on a Kero Sun space heater

  • Unplug the heater power cord or shut off the house circuit breaker for the heater to disconnect electrical power. Wear work gloves to protect your hands during the repair.
  • Remove the temperature control knob from the temperature control thermostat stem.
  • Remove the front grille cover from the heater.
  • Remove the temperature control thermostat mounting screws and pull the thermostat out slightly.
  • Disconnect the wires from the temperature control thermostat and pull the thermostat out.
  • Connect the wires to the new thermostat and mount the new thermostat in the heater.
  • Reassemble the space heater and restore electrical power by plugging in the power cord or resetting the house circuit breaker.
