Designed to fit your product

This damper and support housing for a side-by-side refrigerator mounts onto the ceiling of the refrigerator compartment and contains the damper, thermostat and defrost controller. The damper controls the cycling of air between the refrigerator and freezer compartments.

  • The damper and support housing can be used as a replacement part on Jenn-Air and Maytag two-door refrigerators with serial numbers that start with "13" or lower. The part will fit and work best in refrigerators with serial numbers that start with "13", "12" and "11".
  • Unplug the refrigerator before beginning to make the repair. You need standard hand tools to do the work, and some disassembly of the refrigerator compartment is required to gain access to the old damper and support housing. While reassembling the compartment, make sure to put all the gaskets back in place. Failing to properly reinstall the gaskets will cause the refrigerator compartment to become too cold.
