Choose this manufacturer-approved door cable guide for your residential dryer.
This replacement door cable guide for a residential dryer attaches to the inside of the machine's front panel.
- To remove a damaged guide, first disconnect the dryer from its power source. Take out the screws that attach the lint screen housing to the top panel of the machine and prop open the top panel. Next, take out the screws that secure the inside panel to the cabinet and tilt the entire machine toward you. Follow the length of the door cable to locate the guide, then remove the guide's mounting screw so you can pull out the part.
- When installing the new guide, you may also want to replace the two door cables (PartsDirect Part No. 230131, one per pack) and the two plug covers (Part No. 660975, one per pack).
