Parents got quoted $450.00 from some small appliance repair company, telling her the issue was a computer thing - was at the house about 5 minutes, and never even opened up the face plate on the dryer, and said he had to order it, would take a week or two. Her problem, when pulling the 'button' to start the dryer - you had to constantly play with it to get it started or keep it going. Mom called me, asked my advice, so headed over, and with a simple small torq bit and 3 screws looked inside, immediately could tell this was an issue with that Timer Controller, and not the two little computer boards - they probably would have added this Timer to list of repairs once starting the job!! Found there were 3 different timers that fit this Dryer, so called and with the Serial # they were able to let us know which one, ordered with just standard shipping - came in 3 Business Days. So easy to put on, one plug clip with multiple wires just snaps off, and with the push / pull of the plastic tabs the timer pops off - and new one pops right in.
