this dishwasher was only 5 Years old and was having cycle and draining issues. Found a video on line for this repair and purchased this part from sears parts direct. Was very easy to do with simple hand tools. Took about 3 hours. Would recommend this.

You can do this!

One 12" Philips screwdriver, one pair of gas pliers are all the tools I needed. Pop out both DW drawers. Pull up on bottom sprayer gingerly to remove it from pump. Remove retaining screw and clamp on washer sump pump holding upper washer assembly (save screw and clamp). Pop out with hand at top, then back wall, then twist entire washer assembly right or left 90 degrees and pull it up and out of pump as one gangly assembly. Remove toe kick plate (2 screws). Remove counter ties (2 screws). If necessary, screw in appliance feet. Turn of water main (or risk using the cheesy valve the builder equipped you with. Kill power at the circuit breaker or pull the plug if so wired. Disconnect drain tube from disposer (or whatever). Disconnect water supply line. If you are lucky, the drain, supply, and electric are long enough for you to remove the dishwasher without having to disconnect all of it, but do terminate the electric to the appliance. Push the slack of the wires and hoses into the dishwasher cabinet space. Slide the appliance out entirely and rotate it clockwise-then tip it over on the back side. Get some help and open the DW door and lay a pillow or something on the back wall to absorb the old pump when you push it through. Take a couple pictures and start disconnecting wires and hoses. Water will be abundant, be prepared. Unscrew the two clips at 10 and 2 o'clock along the steel retainer. With full authority, press on the 12 o'clock section and shove the old pump into the DW. Open the DW, remove the trash, close the door, and stand the DW upright for a minute. Get new pump and fit gasket around it. Grab an assistant or remove the door springs, but open the door and insert the new pump - back end first to catch its clip on the ring and then gingerly pressing down at the 8 and 4 o'clock sections careful that the gasket looks pretty. Lay DW on its back side again. Now, do each and every step beginning from the two clips at 10 and 2 o'clock along the steel retainer in reverse like you mean it. Go get the praise you deserve.

Pump replacement easy as 1-2-3

The unit is literally plug & play, the replacement is very straight forward. Getting this part is way cheaper than having a technician repairing the unit. Recommend to be careful with the tabs when putting the unit in, they are very easy to bend. Also, when putting the unit on it's back to remove the connections be careful and have plenty of towels under the unit, the old pump will be full of water.

Fixed noisy circulation pump motor issue

Worked perfectly, figured instead of just replacing a noisy circulation pump I would replace the entire assembly. Was a bit hesitant to make the repair and would only recommend making the repair if you are comfortable with taking things apart and putting them back together. The video online via youtube is nearly identical except for the grounding screws and you dont need to take off the bottom cover plate to see this. Other than that with an extra set of hands, took roughly 45 minutes from start to finish and now she is super quiet and after several loads no leaks or error codes, I am happy I fixed my dishwasher instead of sending it to the landfill and spending more money!

Get the U-Tube Video Instruction!

Perfect fit. Slight difference with only 1 grounding wire hole instead of three. A MUST to follow along with the U-Tube video for installation!
