took out the old one and put in the new one. Reassambly of the unit after the replace was more difficult.

Perfect fit to repair our Kenmore vacuum.
We noticed a short in our vacuum and began to look at a replacement. Costs to replace it was not in our budget so we looked at fixing it ourselves. The part was found and decided to give it a try. It took about 30 minutes to switch out the part and we haven't had any issues since.

Part Not a Direct Replacement
This was not a direct replacement. I had to cannibalize the old part and new part to get it to work. but thanks for trying

Glad these parts are available!
It was reasonably easy to install the parts. Selecting the parts would have been a little easier if the parts illustration drawings had better resolution details.

Didn't fix the problem
Was told to order by a vacuum repair person, it was however apparently not the problem. Trying one more thing. If that doesn't work, giving up on the vaccum.
