This internal timer for a residential washer controls the main functions of the washer, such as filling, agitating, draining and spinning.
- To remove the old part so you can install this replacement timer, unplug the washer, open the rear of the control panel and pull out on the timer. While pulling, use pliers to take the clip off the back of the timer knob. Reach around to the rear of the timer and take out the mounting screws holding it in place.
