New Vent Draft Hood for 16 year old Water Heater
This Whirlpool (FG1H5040T3NOV) has been a good water heater. It had a 9 year warranty and we've had it for over 16 years now (Since Feb 2004) and we have no intention of on replacing it until it simply stops working. 16 years ago, although I didn't know it at the time, when the water heater was installed 16 years ago the Vent Draft Hood that was used was not the correct one - it was from the previous water heater! This was pointed out to me recently and I was kindly asked to correct it; which was my need for finding the exact part for this exact model number water heater. I'm happy that Sears Parts Direct had the exact part I needed and that it fit perfectly for a water heater that I bought over 16 years earlier. Wow! I wasn't expecting to be able to find that part but Sears PartsDirect had exactly the part that I needed.
