Between this replacement part and the helpful how-to video, my husband and I were able to fix our stove with no need for a service call. The repair job definitely took two people and it took 3 hours rather than the 45min suggested on the website but was totally doable in an afternoon. Some helpful hints: * As you remove the old glass top, you'll want to find a way to keep screws from falling down into the stove cavity. Ask us how we know. We used a tray from our toaster oven to catch the screws and it worked fine. If a screw does fall down, you can retrieve it with a magnet taped to a yardstick. * We found that a socket wrench worked better than a screw driver for removing/replacing some of the screws. Nothing specialized was needed, but it helped to have a wrench of the right size. If you have a set with multiple sizes that can be attached to the handle, that's what we had. We couldn't be more pleased with the online ordering; the part arrived exactly as promised and in perfect condition. Will definitely order from Sears parts again.

Easy to install if you watch the video from sears
I bought a part that looked like it would fit for less money$180 less, so had to do a couple of cuts to get it to fit, but it was well worth the savings for me. I'm also an older woman close to 60years of age, and if I can do it, anyone should be able to do it!!

Exact fit!
I was removing my microwave when i accidently dropped it onto the stove top. Ouch!!! Should of moved the stove out first (idiot). Be sure to observe locations of the clips and front rail before removing from the old top.You will need these; as they do not come with the new top. Also pay attention when refastening the burners underneath the glass top, as there are a few different screw hole locations to choose from. All in all this was a fairly easy install; might want someone to help hold the top in place while reinstalling the burner screws underneath. I was able to do myself, but some may not be able to.

The product was in perfect condition but the bracket in the front did not fit my stove. I would have been easy to instant if it fit my stove. It shows in the image that the back is flat all the way across but the one I got has curved brackets on each side that did not fit my stove. will have to return.
