Straightforward to install
Breaking the seals to remove the old regulator required some time & effort because there are three threaded connections. The previous joint compound had hardened. After removing the old regulator, I cleaned the male threads on the tank using a wire brush. Then I applied Oatey Great White pipe joint compound with PTFE to the threaded connections. This made it easy to install the new regulator because the joint compound also acts like a lubricant. After re-assembly, I tested the air compressor and made sure there were no air leaks. It was a straightforward install that took 1-2 hours.

Regulator was an exact fit for my old Craftsman compressor Was deliver as promised Took longer to install because I also replaced the switch system
