Craftsman Soldering Iron, 30-watt 54041

An Oldie but Goodie.

Bought one of these at least 40 years ago and it served me well. Used mainly for light soldering, nothing precise, just soldering 16-22 gauge wires together and to track on HO and N gauge model RR layouts. Well, it set in storage for a good ten years after that and the cord or something inside went bad. Rubber had dried out in my outdoor storage unit. So I was looking for a replacement and after much searching, found that Sears still carried them in their online parts warehouse, as a part, even though they don't make them anymore. And, for a very good price, so i grabbed one. Using it as before it works great and will probably out last me.
