The regulator itself is fairly easy to install.

The regulator itself would have been a simple install, probably 30 minutes, but at least on my compressor(15 yrs old) the horizontal pipe connecting it to the vertical pipe from the tank was not high enough above the tank to let the regulator spin off which turned it in to an hour and 45 min and a couple trips to the hardware store. The regulator worked just fine after finally getting it installed and it arrived very quickly.
