The Large Gear Kit was easy to install
Once the grease & sawdust was clear installation of kit took five minutes. After replacing the chain, the saw ran well. The reasons for 3 star rating are the high $8+ shipping and the soft package it came in. The shaft had broken through and was exposed. A proper box for shipment would have worked much better.

Chainsaw like new again!
After years of abuse, I finally managed to strip the nylon large gear. It was easy to install...took about an hour, but most of that time was spent cleaning out the fragments of the old gear and grease. I re-greased the gears with just standard grease...I don't know if a specific kind is recommended.
