This mulch kit (part number 582931801) is for lawn tractors.
Mulch kit 582931801 changes the tractor from bagging mode to mulching mode, to finely shred the grass clippings and drop them to the ground. Mulching reduces the need for extra nitrogen fertilizer by returning nutrients to the soil. The kit may include multiple parts; refer to your parts diagram for a complete list of parts included.

Simple to install
It helps to have some mechanical tools and skills. I installed my mulch kit using the following tools. Hydraulic jack, 21mm 1/2 inch socket, 36 inch long breaker bar, and wheel chuck stops (2 bricks will do). From start to finish, the install took less than 20 minutes.

Cover did not fit
Blades installed properly, however the cover did not fit the ejection opening properly, and allows grass to escape.
