Rare, hard to find blades
February 07, 2018|NYNick, Charlotte

Although priced on the high side, these blades fit several tools that are no longer supported by the manufacturers. A great find for those facing obsolescence.

Some modifications necessary
March 05, 2019|diy1698, Undisclosed

The new black screws fits really snug inside the slots in the brackets. This prevents the blades from moving down compare to the original parts on the planar which has some slack. The hex mounting screws can't fit thru the round holes because they are too small. I had to drill thru using a 1/4' bit. Only other issue is lining up the blades to the planar. Glad they still carry the parts otherwise my planar will be useless.

unable to install
July 09, 2018|Raoul T, NC

The blades were fine. The locking plates and screws were poorly matched, and with the screw heads unable to fit inside the slotted holes. The manual clearly states new screws must be used. Had to use old plates. The tool remains useless, however, because Sears (and no one else) can replace the brushes or brush tubes for this electic hand planer. You also can't get the adjustment plate tool necessary to set the blades properly in the cutting head. For the want of a nail, the kingdom was lost.
