Great part - easy process
Bought the cook top when we moved in 11 years ago and somebody set a wine bottle down too hard on it at the housewarming party and cracked it. Over the last decade the crack grew and I had always assumed that I would just have to get a new cooktop. The crack had grown and it was time to replace the cooktop and I had an epiphany - maybe just a new piece of glass??? 5 minutes on YouTube and another 5 finding the part on the internet that replaced the original manufacturer's part and it was ordered - a whole lot less $ than a new top! Came in about a week. Cut the power, unhooked the wires, used a spackling tool to dislodge the caulk holding it down, and lifted it out. Ten screws and the old glass (with bracket) lifts off and the same screws back in with the new glass - perfect fit. Used black sandless grout (essentially caulk that comes in different colors) around the perimeter and dropped the cooktop in. Caulked the edges and done, easy-peasy! Probably took about an hour. Looks great, still works fine and a pretty easy process- couldn't be happier!

Very easy
One of the easiest cooktop glass tops I've done. Lift onto countertop, remove switch knobs and vent cover, remove 10 screws, switch out glass, then back together.
