Sears technician couldn't install it in 2 hrs!
Sears technician couldn't install it! He Called another Sears technician who had installed this 5 years ago and he couldn't help. Repairman left fridge un-repaired after a frustrating 2 hrs. He took the door totally off. Needs to return in 11 days after parts he ordered arrive! When I tried to install it based on another review of how easy it was, it was not seamless. I got the part on, but door wouldn't close. I figured there was a trick to it, so I researched diy online. I couldn't find anything online at Sears parts direct DIY, or a Kenmore elite manual with schematics on how to do it or anywhere else. So, yes, it is an easy part to remove, but not easy to install especially with no schematics. Dog ball dislodged hinge!
