This manufacturer-approved main top (part number 4455573) fits KitchenAid gas cooktop model KGCC566HBL1.The burner heads for model KGCC566HBL1 KitchenAid gas cooktop rise through holes in this black glass cooktop, and the burner grates rest directly on the smooth surface of the top.
Installing the replacement main top is a fairly advanced repair. Consider hiring an experienced technician to do the work.
If you make the repair yourself, start by shutting off the circuit breaker and gas supply for the cooktop. Take off the burner grates and burner caps and pull the cooktop out from the counter, using the installation manual as a guide for doing so. Pull off the control knobs and burner heads before releasing the existing main top from the burner box.
