Drip Pan Cracked
Sears was the only company that kept me informed as to when I would receive the part. We have been without a frig off & on since April, 2020. The companies that sell Kitchen Aid appliances in Erie were not helpful and had NO IDEA when they would have this part. Also, since I did not purchase the appliance at the store I called for repair, they did not offer any help. The repair person (we found on FaceBook) was wonderful and able to stop several times to keep it running and useable till the part arrived in November. We had several water leaks that ended up on my new kitchen floor until I figured out a way to get us by till the part arrived. John (repair person) still had to make a service call 4-times to defrost the ice, now all over the bottom of the tray above the freezer. I put several towels to keep the water in place so it would not end up on the new floor. My repair person found out that this part (drip pan) was recalled 2 years ago and we should have been notified and sent a new part at no charge by KitchenAid. I purchased 4 different appliances from an Erie store that sold to another company. The new owners were not helpful at all and I will never purchase anything from them in the future.
