Replacement of radial arm saw carriage bearings
The two carriage bearings are located up under the arm of the saw in a small space difficult to see with limited access. . Since I have adjusted the carriage bearings before, I was familiar with the repair procedure.The instructions in the operating manual are helpful. Took about one hour to replace both bearings and adjust.

remove aft bearing first and install it last
installing the aft bearing last allows for extra movement for the front bearing. the front bearing is more difficult because there is less room to work and still get the bearing on the center roller ridge

Ordering part
Parts are installed and saw works fine now, however, when ordering a carriage bearing one should know you will receive a set (2) as well as 2 bearing washers. I ordered a quantity of 2 (needing 2 bearings) and ended up with 4 bearings. Also ordered bearing washers and didn't need to. CS is allowing a return of 2 bearings, based on lack of informing of the set rather than 1.
