Choose this manufacturer-approved jackshaft for your lawn tractor.

This replacement jackshaft for an AYP or Craftsman lawn tractor model number 917254611 functions as a mandrel. The cutting blades attach to the jackshaft, which is turned by the mower drive belt.

Installing the new jackshaft requires removing the mower deck from the tractor while following the instructions in the owner's manual.

Before reattaching the jackshaft mounting bolts, soak them in a lubricant like WD-40. Torque the bolts to 35 foot pounds.
