This internal timer for a residential washer controls the main functions of the washer, such as filling, agitating, draining and spinning.
- To remove the old part so you can install this replacement timer, unplug the washer and pull out the timer knob. Use pliers to remove the clip holding the knob onto its post. Open the control panel, locate the back of the timer and take out the mounting screws that hold the timer in place.
