Parts and accessories that you'll need for your Craftsman shop press

• Drill bits. You'll need to replace missing, worn and damaged drill bits that you need to complete projects. You may also need specialty drill bits for projects which require you to drill into hard metal.
• Carbon motor brushes. Carbon motor brushes transfer electric current to the spinning armature in the motor. You'll need to replace carbon motor brushes when they wear down to ¼-inch in length.
• On/off switch. The on/off switch starts and stops the power drill motor. Replace the trigger switch if it doesn't send current to the drive motor when you pull the trigger.
• Drive motor. The drive motor spins the chuck and drill bit to drill through the work piece. Replace the drive motor if it doesn't run when it gets electrical current.

Work area safety guidelines to follow when using your Craftsman shop press

• Work in a well-lit area so you can clearly see the work piece and the location of the drill bit.
• Make sure that your work area is well-ventilated. Don't operate your shop press in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust.
• Keep children and bystanders away from the work area when operating the shop press. Distractions can cause you to lose control of the shop press.
• Wear work gloves to protect your hands and eye protection when using the shop press.
