Not quite the right fit
The element was a replacement for the original but the size physical size was larger and the holes for installing didn't fit correctly I got the unit in but it is offset

Pricey
Fairly easy to install. Mark wires first before removing from old element then transfer them one at a time to the new element. I changed a dual element burner so there were 4 or 5 wires total that had to be removed and reterminated.

Easy to install but didn't solve the problem.
An authorized Sears service technician made a service call to my house on July 16, 2018 and diagnosed my stove problem as a faulty surface element. He said the repair would be over $500. I checked online and the part was $133 with searspartsdirect and appeared to be easy to install. I ordered the part and hooked it up for approximately 15 seconds - long enough to determine that neither the element nor the switch was the problem. I did some research online and decided to order the mother board for the stove from searspartsdirect on July 30, 2018. That solved the problem and now my stove top works correctly. I am returning the surface element for a refund.

Genuine Factory Part
Not real difficult to install. Use a small screwdriver to help unplug the wires & popping out the holding clips.

Recommend!
This dual heating element worked out perfectly. I needed another person to help lift the stove top while I unscrewed the brackets that held in place the heating elements. But that's just a matter for the stove itself. I do recommend labeling the wires on your stove before unplugging old element. That way you'll know which wires reattach to the right connection points. I'm a 29 year old mother of 5 and I did this project with the help of my dad. i did watch a few videos on how to do this project and that was VERY helpful. Thank you Sears for making this part available!
