Came pre locked
Would not recommend. The part came in a pre locked position and could not be unlocked. This meant my lid could not be shut, so when I started the machine, it detected it was already locked and wouldn't let me run any loads. I found several videos suggesting manually pressing a tab on the part while the machine is started, tricking it into toggling the lock. I tried several dozen times to no avail. Returned this and bought a used washer and took the part out of that. Somehow cheaper than this $110 + shipping part that is sent in a non working state. Also, it's worth noting that I contacted Sears parts direct customer service and was bounced between three people, all telling me to call back the same number. No one even attempted to help me.

Right part, but...
This was a replacement part, but of course, the original style is no longer available, and this is the "replacement". Everything was super easy to replace, EXCEPT where it attaches to the lid. Replacement video shows it is screwed in, but that was not the case. I am pretty mechanically inclined, and it took me 15 minutes to figure out that the old piece and the new piece slide in and out of the lid, as opposed to screws. Other than that, everything else was fine and things are back to working great.

When I called and tried to get advice on the insta
when I called to get instalation tips they wanted to charge me $40 for the advice e, and stated if that did not do the job they would credit that $40 toward a technician . BAD FORM Sears. Never buy Sears again !

Washer lid lock assembly
The worng part was sent. Serieral numbers of the part sent do not match the serierial numbers of the part ordered. I have sent this part back to the sender. I would like a refund.

Installing the lid lock harness
It's basically simple to figure out, however, being a first time repair operation, a small set of instructions that describes the steps to safely remove the top lid assembly and related electric panel, with special attention to the tips to trip the plastic clip assemblys on the harness thereby avoiding damage to the new part, would have been a big help.
