Instructions a bit short

I looked online to see details on installing something similar and there were suggestions of a thin coat of vaseline on the gasket. This tends to mak it a bit more pliable and easy to slip on.

Terrible

What everyone else is saying about the gasket thickness is 100% true..There is no door adjustment I can make to compensate for that. The seal it produces flat out sucks. I've even tried remagnatizing the seal numerous times. I have to leave a chair propped against the door to hold it shut because if not, when someone opens the refrigerator door and then shuts it, that small amount of force will allow this to break the seal and leave the door cracked open. This seal that Sears sells is an absolute joke, a very expensive one at that. I'm almost tempted to put my old one back on so it will atleast seal somewhat by itself and I'll just deal with the ice build up from time to time..Waste of money

Doesn’t seal as well as the original.

It took me about 20 minutes to install, even though no instructions were present in the box. Once I got it installed, I noticed that it did not appear to be the same thickness as the original. The freezer door, which I replaced, doesn’t have the same feel to open it as the fridge side. Then, this morning, I opened the freezer to find water dripping from the top and my ice isn’t freezing. Not too happy at the moment because I’m probably going to have to go buy a new fridge because this one, expensive part, which I verified through the operator as being the correct part by model and serial number, did not work.

Horrible mistake

Since there item came from a 3rd party vendor I was unable to cancel the transaction as soon as the next day. The total return process has been over two weeks now and I'm still awaiting my refund.
