Refrigerator Ice Maker W10190960

Been putting off ordering this, afraid it wouldn't fix my problem (fridge not making ice) and then I'd have wasted the money to buy it. So I've been living without an ice maker for at least a year. Finally closed my eyes and jumped (ordered it). Wish it didn't cost as much as it does, but it DID fix my problem and we have ice again! The change-out wasn't hard, but I had already gone through the exercise of removing the old one and putting it back in, so I had some familiarity. YouTube videos helped tremendously.

Great replacement. Delivery was fast. Easy install after watching online videos.

Install was easy and took approximately 15 minutes to install. Does not come with bottom plate so be sure to keep old ice maker for parts not included with the new unit.

Always remember to unplug refrigerator prior to starting install. Turn off ice maker then unplug and remove old unit. Plug in new unit slide into place then turn ice maker back on. Installation is now complete plug refrigerator back in and you are done!! That easy!!

Somewhat awkward to install on my fridge but easy. Remove ice-maker flap by carefully expanding the hinges to allow removal. Also remove wire cover. There may be one screw under the ice-maker securing it to the rail that it sits on, then carefully slide it out. Don't throw away the failed ice-maker since the bottom cover has to be transferred to the new ice-maker. Plug it in, switch the fridge ice maker switch to on and leave it. No other tests or adjustment required I also had to replace the water valve switch in the back of the fridge.
