Check the door latch assembly
Dishwashers are designed not to turn on or fill with water if the door latch assembly isn't working correctly. Make sure the door latches properly; if it doesn't, replace the door latch assembly. Even if the door latches, you could have a problem with the switch inside the assembly, so check that as well.
Inspect the thermal fuse
If your kitchen's power is on but the dishwasher control panel doesn't light up, the dishwasher's internal thermal fuse may have blown. However, on some dishwashers, the control panel still lights up even if the thermal fuse needs replacement. Check the thermal fuse and its wire harness, and replace both if necessary.
Replace the dishwasher control panel
The dishwasher control panel is your means of communicating with the appliance. If the control panel becomes loose, or if buttons become stuck and don't respond when you push them, it's time for some dishwasher repair. Replace the dishwasher control panel to get your appliance working properly again.
