This is the correct part for a refrigerator where the water line goes from the water source directly to the filter. One end is a tapered compression fitting with compression nut and the is a 5/16" press in fitting. The most difficult part of installation is feeding the tube from front to back under the refrigerator.

It was relatively easy to uninstall and once that was done it was just to do it backwards to get it installed. I would say going slow so as not damage anything it took an hour to get the hose back in correctly. Sears is the only place I could find the hose. My plumber wanted $528.00 to remove and reinstall the hose. Problem was he didn't have a replacement hose. I am not a plumber but decided I can do this on my own. So can you. Hose cost $43.00 ... hiring a plumber Zero.

It took about 15 min to install. Hard part was taking it out. I figured out you need to unscrew the water filter in front and pull the filter out a little. Then the line will be more accessible.

This part feed perfect on the fridge, its took 10 minutes to install the water tube.
