Bosch dryer error codes

The E:01 and E:03 codes are displayed in the normal drying mode. To view all error codes, enter the diagnostic test mode. While pressing START/STOP and DELICATES, turn the cycle selector knob to EXTRA DRY--REGULAR/COTTON. Then push the START/STOP button to scroll through all the error codes. Turn the cycle selector knob to OFF to end the test mode.

Overheating due to clogged exhaust air path

Check/Repair

Clean lint from the lint screen. Clear any clogs from the flexible exhaust hose behind the dryer and straighten out any kinks. Replace the flexible exhaust hose if damaged. Clear the vent duct system to the outside of your home. Check that the exhaust vent damper outside your home opens properly.

Maximum drying time exceeded

Check/Repair

The maximum drying time is 4 hours. Reduce the load size if the dryer is too full to dry. If the dryer isn't getting hot enough to dry clothing, unplug the dryer and check the heating element or gas burner components. Replace any defective heating components.

Lint screen temperature sensor error

Check/Repair

Unplug the dryer and reconnect the wire harness on the lint screen temperature sensor if loose. Replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire harness connections are okay, replace the lint screen temperature sensor.

Heater temperature sensor error

Check/Repair

Unplug the dryer and check the wire harness connections on the heater temperature sensor. Reconnect the wire harness if loose. Replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire harness connections are okay, replace the heater temperature sensor.

Defective control module

Check/Repair

Unplug the dryer for 3 minutes to reset the control module. If the code returns when power is restored, replace the control module.
