had to tear down the whole tiller to get to the chain. Turned out to be a pretty good job.

except the disassembly of tiller chain replacement was easy

Exact fit easy to install if mechanically inclined

Trouble shooting said replace transmission. Took it apart and found broken chain and some chain gear damage. Replaced chain and filed gear damage.

Tiller Repair

To install this chain takes approximately 8 hours due to dealing with grease removal, cleaning regreasing of the transmission and completely reassembly of the tiller. Not an easy job for someone who has no mechanic background. Luckily I do. Good luck if you don’t.
