Outlet thermistor failure

Check/Repair

Unplug the dryer and check the outlet thermistor wiring. Reconnect any loose wires. Replace the wire harness if damaged. Check the resistance of the outlet thermistor. It should measure about 10,000 ohms at room temperature. If the thermistor is defective, replace it. Replace the main control board if the outlet thermistor and wiring are okay.

Heater thermistor failure

Check/Repair

Unplug the dryer and check the heater thermistor wiring. Reconnect any loose wires. Replace the wire harness if damaged. Check the resistance of the heater thermistor. It should measure about 250,000 ohms at room temperature. If the thermistor is defective, replace it. Replace the main control board if the heater thermistor and wiring are okay.

Steam generator thermistor failure

Check/Repair

Unplug the dryer and check the steam generator thermistor wiring. Reconnect any loose wires. Replace the wire harness if damaged. Check the resistance of the steam generator thermistor. It should measure about 50,000 ohms at room temperature. If the thermistor is defective, replace it. Replace the main control board if the steam generator thermistor and wiring are okay.

Compressor inlet thermistor failure

Check/Repair

Unplug the dryer and check the compressor inlet thermistor wiring. Reconnect any loose wires. Replace the wire harness if damaged. Check the resistance of the compressor inlet thermistor. It should measure about 10,000 ohms at room temperature. If the thermistor is defective, replace it. Replace the main control board if the compressor inlet thermistor and wiring are okay.

There's a software failure in the main control board. Unplug the dryer and replace the main control board.

Power supply failure

Check/Repair

Check the power cord connection at the wall outlet. The L2 leg of 240-volt power could be missing. Check the house circuit breaker that supplies the L2 leg of 240-volt power to the dryer. Reset the breaker if necessary. Unplug the dryer and check the power cord wiring on the dryer terminal block. Reconnect any loose power cord connections and wire the power cord according to the directions in the installation manual. Replace the power cord if damaged. With the dryer still unplugged, check the wiring connections on the main control board and reconnect any loose wires. Replace the control board if you find damage.
