Refrigerator Water Filter Bypass (replaces 807946702) A13402902

The water filter bypass works great with our Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator. It literally is just a water filter cartridge without the filter. Since we have a water filter on our main water feed into the fridge, we don't need a filter in our fridge.

This is perfect when you have a separate filtration system. It minimizes pressure drop, and never has to be replaced. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is cost. You would think a gutless wonder would be cheaper than a real filter, but I guess they charge more because you never replace it. It also keeps people who don’t know better from buying it thinking it is a cheap replacement for a filter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The water coming from all of my faucets has no smell and tastes great. However, the water coming from my refrigerator smells like rotten eggs when using the Frigidaire water filter that came with the refrigerator. I tried this bypass, but the water from the refrigerator still smell like rotten eggs.
