Special details: Ice maker 4317943 doesn't includes the shut-off arm; transfer the arm from the original ice maker or order the arm listed for your model separately.

Ice maker 4317943 includes the ice mold and the control device. The ice maker receives water from the water inlet valve and then holds the water in the ice mold until the water freezes solid. It then automatically ejects the ice and refills to continue the process until the ice storage bin is full.

Safely store any food that could deteriorate while the power is off and unplug the refrigerator when installing this part. Wear work gloves to protect your hands.

Self Icemaker Install

Ice maker came with assortment of wiring harnesses for multiple style hookups and easy to understand directions. Replacement was easy and fast, only tool needed was a 1/4 in. socket. Saved the cost of an unneeded service call and ice maker is working great!

Right part & almost easy

Basically an easy job but anytime you’re working in an area like the width of a freezer with a flashlight and a hand mirror it could be better…hahaha!

Started making ice within a few hours.

Installation was not complicated. I used the plug that is hard wired to the fridge. You have to re-use the metal arm lever from the old ice maker. It took less than 20 minutes.

SUPER Easy to install

Old ice maker was leaking and it took 45 minutes to prepare for removal of old unit and then clean up freezer. Swap out good and easy… only ten minutes. Three screws, plug in unit and attach ice “on-off” lever. Prep time is the majority of the work.
