Electronic control board. The electronic control board receives signals from the thermostat and control devices and sends current to components in the HVAC system to heat and/or cool your home.
Troubleshooting igniter problems in a gas furnace
If your furnace will not fire up, the igniter may be faulty. In diagnosing this possible problem, you should first make sure that the circuit breaker hasn't already been tripped. Turn off the circuit breaker if it hasn't been tripped so that you can access the furnace safely. Open up the burner door to expose both the burner box and the igniter. Remove the burner box and door. Reset the igniter by switching it to the "off" position for five minutes. Reinstall the burner box and door and switch the circuit breaker back on. If this doesn't work, repeat the process. If it still won't turn on, then the igniter may need to be replaced.
