Messy job
Key things to note, you will need two of these, one for each side of the drum. Also, the special glue provided with each seal is very runny, sticky, and nearly impossible to clean-up. Use something disposable under your work area because anything the glue drips or runs onto will probably have to go into the trash. I budgeted four hours to do this job start to finish, and it took nearly eight. None of the videos I looked-up were similar to my dryer, and my machine had some unique characteristics on the inside which made it fairly difficult to disassemble. Most of my time was spent cleaning under, around and inside the dryer which had not been moved in more than ten years. You will need at least an intermediate level of "handiness" to do this job, and I would not recommend it if you're not comfortable using basic hand tools.

Installing Dryer Drum Seal
Wow, ordering and installing the Dryer Drum Seal was easy. First of all, we were getting black marks on our clothes so I found a video online and they suggested that the drum seal may need to be replaced. Second, I got on Sear Parts Direct to find the seal and was so happy about how easy it was to find the part. I simply put in the model number of my dryer and the page came up with a picture of my dryer, even the blue color that it is, and several diagrams of all of the parts. The parts are all numbered so after finding the part, which was easy, all I had to do was scroll down to the number and order. I have to admit, I was a little concerned about the installation so again, I looked online for a video. I could not find my exact dryer, however, it was close enough for me to get the idea of what to do. I just wanted to state that I am a woman and that I performed the repair with my two daughters. We took the dryer apart in about thirty minutes, after unplugging it. The part that took the longest was cleaning the old adhesive off the drum. After installing the new seal we let it dry over night. It took us about forty-five minutes to put the dryer back together. When we turned the dryer on it squeaked loudly, yikes. So, when we had the dryer apart we noticed that there was a lot of black stuff all over and that one of the wheels was not real secure. I order a new wheel and installed it rather quickly since we had learned so much the first time. When we turned on the dryer it did not make a sound. We can hardly tell that it is on. It works so nice, like bran new. I was so happy that we were able to perform this ourselves. I know that nobody would have cleaned my dryer the way we did and we had a lot of laughs during the process.

Dryer Drum Seals
These were very easy to install. They fit perfectly. I put them between the handles of my fooseball table to straighten them out for a couple days and they went on easier than the reviews I had read. Cleaning the old glue off was the hardest part but no big deal. I gave them a long time to dry before I put the dryer back together. Install was about 30 minutes.

drum seal kit...
It's a little tricky. Might need 2 people to open up dryer. Be careful with the adhesive. It's very sticky and messy. As you put on seal, make sure to press it along as to stretch it as you go . Dries fast.
