Reviews
Right part
Havent gotten my mower all back together yet. Right part, tho, even for my '93 antique. Only complaint.....it took 4 days longer than expected to get here.

Took a while to install
it took about 2.5 hrs.the hardest part was re-aligning every thing.but im 70 years old, so as you would expect it took me a while to figure it out.Now my 21 year old mower steers almost as good as new. So it was worth the time, and the price was good.thank you Sears.

Beware -
This part does the job, but the original design is fatally flawed. There is no upper support for the steering shaft, and this part receives heavy twisting. It also should not be used as the entire support at the shaft end. There is far too much force applied. This part should be made much beefier. I had to add a brace with bearing to the upper shaft, and added a collar to absorb the upward force from the sector gear. Works really well now, but required a redesign of the whole thing to prevent a recurrence of what wore out the original part. Furthermore, I was charged ten dollars for shipping, and it took two weeks for the part to arrive. Very bad service, and I felt cheated financially.
