This mulch kit (part number 525405001) is for lawn tractors.
Mulch kit 525405001 changes the tractor from bagging mode to mulching mode, to finely shred the grass clippings and drop them to the ground. Mulching reduces the need for extra nitrogen fertilizer by returning nutrients to the soil. The kit may include multiple parts; refer to your parts diagram for a complete list of parts included.

easy to install
went together with simple hand tools, took maybe 15 minutes. I use anti seize on the blade bolt to make removal and future blade service easier.

I won't know if it's hard to install until it here
I got the wrong part. I was told I would get a call back and as of now I still haven't heard from anyone. The lady at sears direct was very professional and friendly. I was told I would get a call on getting the correct part and what to do with what I received
