Troubleshooting tips for your walk-behind lawn mower
  • If the motor won’t start, check the electrical outlet for power. Reset the house circuit breaker to restore power to the outlet or use a different electrical outlet to power the lawn mower.
  • If the motor buzzes but the blade doesn’t turn, unplug the lawn mower and check for debris blocking the blade from turning. Clear any obstructions.
  • If the motor is weak, check the wiring connections and check the power cord for damage.
  • If the motor whines loudly as it runs, you may need to replace the motor.
