Very easy to install!
I paid someone else $150 to install the burner, then unfortunately, it did not work. I purchased this one from Sears and bamm, two seconds, I did it myself. Take one plug off, put it back on the new piece. Real simple.

Easy to install
I watched the video and installed the element in 30 minutes. It was easy to install. I found a piece of wood to prop the front up. Removed the old element. The tricky part was using the needle nose pliers to get the spring clips out of the cross bar. Installing the wires on the new element was easy but you need to make sure they are on the correct post. Everything worked once I was done. Life is good.

The part was the exact part i needed. Installation was relatively simple...took less than an hour (including the time to research what i was doing). And my range works again!!!

took 40 minutes, not to difficult to install
If you have the options burners on the left which work in conjunction with each other it is a slightly more difficult task, just need to secure the whole side while lifting and to ensure they do not get damaged, would be easier if this is not an option on your stove

Easy to Install
I finally broke down and bought the range surface element for my stove after being without it for many, many years. I showed the installation process to my husband and told him that "we can do it". Well it was a piece of cake. No problems at all and I'm very glad to have that range back. Makes cooking so much nicer. Thank you for the pictures and installation instructions.

Saved a load of cash!!!!!
I paid Sears PartsDirect $168 (including postage) for this part, while a local supplier wanted $291.00! With labor, this would have been a $400.00 repair. While installing it wasn't super-simple, it wasn't rocket science, either. Now, my range is 100% working again, and I am a happy dude!

Easy Installation
I went to the Sears help site and used the step-by-step instructions. They were clear enough for anyone with a DIY mindset and a few simple tools to easily replace this heating element. I took the advice of the guide and took s picture of the connections when I got the oven top propped open. However, I found the picture to be unnecessary. Before I removed the failed element, I compared the terminals and connections to make sure the replacement element was correct. Upon determining the new element was the same as the old, I removed it and set the two units side-by-side upside down. I first transferred the fastening clips from the old to the new. (It was super easy to do because of calibration marks on the bottom.) Then I labeled the terminals using a permanent Sharpie marker with a letter corresponding to the wire color (i.e. "G" for green, "R" for red, etc.) on the ceramic base. Once I got the replacement element secured to the stovetop,it was super easy to connect the wires back correctly.

Easy install.
No problem. Use your mobile phone to take picture of wire connectors to make sure you get them right when installing the new unit.
