Installation Issue
Installation did not happen as described in the on-line "how to" page. This was probably because this Amana washer was 21 years old and obviously assembled differently than later model machines. Specifically, the bottom of the machine could not be removed for easy access to the washer drain pump attachment screws. It was an integral part of the housing and contained attachment points for the washer tub. The only access was via the front panel. This provided about 2 inches of working room below the drain pump. Was very difficult to get hands and tools where they needed to be. However, with the help of a mechanics mirror, the removal and installation was finally accomplished about 2 hours later.
