not the same quality as original
We needed to replace the ezdrive assembly on or sears lawn mower. The order and delivery were in a timely way. The part was not the same as the original quality part on the mower. It had no back plate to help stabilize the part, only plastic parts that fit thru the screw holes on the handle. It gives the impression that it will not last. The assembly was fine.

Just what I needed
Was not sure if this was the right part but took a chance. Glad I did! Hooked up the old cable to the new control unit and did not need to get into the clutch assembly.

Installation is fiddly but O.K.
Removal of the old cable required cutting it. I could not get the grommet that goes through the body of the mower to release. Installation of the new handle and cable required unhooking the cable from inside the handle mechanism to provide the inch of slack in the cable needed to hook it onto the drive mechanism. The entire job took just over an hour with some trial and error along the way.

Review of Lawn Mower Drive Control Assembly
The tricky part was getting the cable to install under the mower deck. I had to disassemble the Lawn Mower Drive Control Assembly to get enough slack. A one page instruction sheet would have helped me. Most likely, pilot error on my part.
